General Meeting – June 5, 2004 Back to OGBCACall to Order Minutes read and approved. New Business – OCA Game – Read letter from OCA about discontinuing our Association with the games from Milt Bassett. Also talked about the selection process for the OCA games. Vote was taken in favor of staying with the OCA games and going to their building on the Friday afternoon of selection to choose our All-Staters for this game. Fall Clinic is at OCC on Oct. 21 in Edmond. Cost will be $20.00 and it will include a t-shirt, but we will not serve a noon meal. The registration will start at 8:00a.m. and clinic will end at noon. We will have an OSSAA rules meeting at this clinic also. Motion was made to bring the All-Staters in on Friday this year and try this with the idea of saving the money that was spent on rooms and entertainment to purchase All-State rings for the All-State coaches in the future. This motion was passed. We will take bids on the All-State rings for coaches and see if they can be purchased this year or if not, they will be purchased as soon as possible the year that they can be worked into the budget. 2005 Check in will be on June 3 with the banquet on that date also and the games will be on June 4 starting at 1:00. Games will be Small schools at 1:00 Middle schools at 2:30 Large schools at 4:30. Stuart McPhearson will serve as the MC for the Banquet and the Games. Motion was made by Mike Fitts and 2nd by Shane Coffey to go back to the original format of Selecting the All-Staters and only 5 Alternates are listed so that each group will be the same. Motion approved. Meeting was adjourned. |
