General Meeting Minutes – May 31, 2003

Call to order.

Minutes read and approved.

Report by Coach Heatly concerning the Okla/Texas All-Star Game scheduled for Norman on July 25 & 26. Cost will be $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for Children – played at the Lloyd Noble Center and athletes will be

Housed at the Village Motel in Norman.

All details are completed and donations from Hall of Fame Coaches and Association Coaches are coming in to support these games.

Discussion followed concerning the All-State week and how things went. Everything was agreed to be successful and was decided to continue at UCO next year with the dates for 2004 being June 3, 4, and 5.

All-Staters will still come in on Thurs. afternoon and follow the same format unless there is a need to change due to the schedule of UCO. Contact will be made by Rocky Clarke concerning the date and event.

Report will be given during the Oct. meeting.

Floor was opened up for President to replace David Glover who has accepted a Supt. Job at Newkirk High School. Rocky Clarke – Current Vice-Pres. Was nominated from the Board and 2^nd by Mickey Thorpe.

Rocky Clarke was elected Pres. Of the Assoc. for 2003-04.

Floor was opened for nominations from the General Meeting for Vice-Pres.

Rick Wilson and Kris Gore were nominated with Kris Gore being elected to the Vice-Pres. Position.

U. V. Williamson from Carnegie was appointed to take the place of the 2A Rep to the Board for the SW. and Bridget Birdwell from Hennessey was appointed to take the 3A position, also from the SW. All positions that come open in Oct. will be voted on at the District Meetings.

Motion was made to adjourn to the District Meetings to set dates and times for All-State Workouts, as well as, District Meeting times and locations.
