General Meeting 3-28-03 Call to order. Minutes read and approved. Charles Heatly read the nominations for Hall of Fame – all 3 nominees were approved by vote:
Anyone that has 20, 25, 30, or 35 years of service was asked to let Cherie know. Announcement by David Glover that he had accepted a job a Supt. of Newkirk Schools and would no longer be able to serve as Pres. of this Assoc. after the June All-State Games. He made a suggestion that the Assoc. might want to look at the Pres. being elected for a 2 year term with a Pres. elect being elected who would take over for the next 2 years. Motion made from Paul Pool and 2nd by Kim Kramer for this format to be put into place. Motion did not pass. There will be a vote by Ballot at the June General Meeting – anyone that is interested must let Cherie know so that they will be included on the ballot. Kris Gore volunteered (with Sheila Persson) to find volunteers to take care of the clock, book, and announcer at the table during the All-State games. David Glover let everyone know that the Fall Clinic would be back at OCC this Oct. in Edmond. Vote for Coaches of the Year will be in the Board Meeting. Report from Charles K. Heatly - $5,000.00 from Days Inn was donated for the Oklahoma/Texas Game. Texas has volunteered to have it down there again if we want them to. We will have it at Norman – Check in on Fri. – July 25 around 2:00 and play the game on Sat. – July 26 @ Lloyd Noble Center – 2:00. Discussion followed concerning All-State Workouts – Should there be a certain format or the same number from each workout site used in every area. This was tabled and will be discussed at the June meeting. Meeting adjourned. |
