Call to order.

Prayer

No minutes were read since there was not a meeting in Oct. at the clinic due to a time factor.

Vote was taken by ballot for Coach of the Year.  Winners were:

Paul Pool – Depew  (East)

Lance Carpenter – Hammon – (West)

Vote was taken to cancel the Banquet meal on Friday evening and only have an Awards Ceremony.  Then to use this money in the future to purchase All-State rings for the athletes.  It is understood that this may not be possible this year due to the cost, but this should allow for there to be an opportunity to do this at the 2007 games.  If not, this money that is not going to be spent on the banquet will be used for the additional expenses with the All-State games and would keep the cost of membership dues or the cost of ads for the All-Staters to not be raised.   Motion approved.

Discussion followed concerning the complaint from the Tulsa area schools because they chose to take a different date for their Spring Break.  The Workouts will continue to be set by the Board of Directors and will not be during Spring Break.  Next year it will be held the week after the State Tournaments for the Large Schools since the Spring Break week has been moved back a week.

Times were set for All-State activities:

Check-in time – 12:00 (noon) on Friday – June 2, 2006.   Location will be announced.

Awards Ceremony – 7:00p.m. – Friday, June 2, 2006, at UCO Banquet Hall

General Meeting – 9:00a.m. – Sat., June 3, 2006, - at UCO Fieldhouse

District Meetings will follow the General Meeting.

Board Meeting will follow the District Meetings.

Large School Games – 1:00p.m. – Sat. – June 3

Introduction of Hall of Fame Members – 2:00p.m. – Sat. – June 3

Middle School Games – 2:15p.m.

Introduction of J.H. Coaches of the Year, Asst. Coaches of the Year, and Service Award Winners – 3:15p.m.

Small School Games – 3:30p.m.

Motion was made by Steve Freeman and seconded for Rocky Clarke to select a committee to “review” the process of selecting the All-Staters.  This committee will

report back to the Board with any ideas or items to be voted on.
