Call to order.

No minutes were read from the Oct. meeting because there was not a General Meeting during the clinic, due to time.

Hall of Fame Report by Charles Heatly.  There is no remaining space for new Hall of Fame plaques at Lindsay Schools where it is located at this time.  After discussion, it was decided to purchase plaques for the new members to keep and to list the names on a large plaque at the Lindsay location.

Nominations were taken for the 2006 Hall of Fame – these individuals will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on June 2 at 7:00p.m. on the campus of University of Central Oklahoma.

Mike Zurline – Lindsay

Donnie Elliott – Granite

Daryl Roger – Texhoma

Larry Black – Okarche

Bill Burnett – Minco

Report was given by Cherie Myers concerning the Banquet – the cost, the need, etc.

It  was decided that the Association definitely wanted to Honor the coaches, the All-Staters, and the Hall of Fame Members at an Award Ceremony, but not to have a meal

(at approx. $25.00 per plate).  There will be an Awards Ceremony at 7:00p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006, at the University of Central Oklahoma Banquet Hall.

Final Vote will be taken in the Board Meeting.

Texas/ Oklahoma Game will be in Lubbock, Texas, on July22, 2006.  More information will be posted on the website.

Discussion followed concerning the All-State workouts and any problems involved with these.  Brad Thrash talked about the need for coaches to be aware when these workouts are and get their athletes to these.  Also the need to change the forms on the website so that they can be read easier.

Discussion by Kris Gore concerning the responsibilities of the Board Members/Selection Committee.  There is a need to go back to mailing a letter in information to each school at the first of the year.  This will make them aware of the website and the information that they are responsible for during the year.  This will be followed next season.

Discussion by U.V. Williamson about the problems and changes that need to be made to the website.  These were addressed and will be changed as soon as possible.

Discussion from Rocky Clarke concerning the information that was given from Danny Rennels about what the OSSAA is working on with the problems concerning private schools.  There will be a letter with this information sent to each head coach in the state from the OSSAA.

Votes were taken for Asst. Coach of the Year, Junior High  Coach of the Year, All-State Coaches, and Oklahoma/Texas Coaches.  List of these winners will be attached.

Regional Coaches from East and West were presented.  The Coach of the Year will be voted on by ballot in the Board Meeting.
